Crown of the Continent: One Ecosystem, Many Values
This trip is in conjunction with a multi-media journalism project to understand the values of the people in the Crown of the Continent Ecosystem, an 18M+ acre transboundary region in Alberta, BC, and Montana. One of the most bio-diverse ecosystems in the lower 48, this area is key to health, livelihood, and energy development across Canada and the US, and is the location of headwaters to the Missouri, Columbia, and the Saskatchewan watersheds, supplying drinking water to millions.
